The Northeast and New Hampshire Self Storage Associations Announce Successful Merger

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

December 8, 2025 – The Northeast Self Storage Association (NeSSA) and the New Hampshire Self Storage Association (NHSSA) are pleased to announce that the two organizations have successfully voted through a merger, uniting their memberships to form a stronger, more comprehensive regional association serving self storage professionals across the Northeast. The transaction will close on January 1, 2026, at which time the merger will be complete and go into effect.

The merger, approved by both boards and member votes earlier this year, brings together the resources, advocacy efforts, and industry expertise of both groups. Beginning January 1, 2026, all current NHSSA members will transition into full NeSSA members, gaining expanded access to education, additional resources, and revamped regional networking.

“Bringing NeSSA and NHSSA together marks a tremendous milestone for our region,” said Jessica Lamoureux, President of NeSSA. “This merger strengthens our voice, expands our reach, and allows us to deliver even greater value to self storage owners and operators across the Northeast. We’re excited to welcome our New Hampshire members and look forward to building an even stronger, more united community.”

The unified association will continue operating under the name Northeast Self Storage Association and will serve facility owners, operators, vendors, and professionals throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and now New Hampshire. Members will benefit from increased event programming, broader geographic representation, and coordinated advocacy on individual state legislative matters.

“Merging NHSSA into the NeSSA organization offers significant benefits to our members,” said Alison Conlon, President of NHSSA. “A larger, combined organization can help streamline costs and increase revenue which will in turn allow us to offer more services and invest in our future.”

All previous contact methods for the NHSSA will be switched to NeSSA’s information beginning January 1.
