Dear NeSSA Members and Prospects,
I hope everyone is beginning to defrost and looking forward to warmer spring weather after the harsh winter we’ve experienced across the Northeast. As we transition into a new season, it feels especially fitting to share some exciting updates and opportunities ahead for our association.
I’m thrilled to begin this message with a heartfelt congratulations to all of us on the successful merger of the Northeast Self Storage Association and the New Hampshire Self Storage Association. And most importantly, welcome to our New Hampshire members! This milestone represents so much more than growth - it reflects our shared commitment to strengthening the self storage industry across the Northeast. By coming together, we are building a broader network of relationships, resources, and opportunities that will benefit each of our members. I am truly optimistic about what we will accomplish as one unified association, and I look forward to collaborating, learning, and growing together in the years ahead.
As we move into the busy season, membership renewals are winding down, but it’s never too late to join or to invite others to be part of NeSSA. We encourage you to share the value of our association with your friends, colleagues, and clients. Whether it’s advocacy, education, networking, or access to trusted vendors, NeSSA plays an important role in supporting our local industry. A full list of membership benefits is available here, and we welcome your help in continuing to grow and strengthen our community.
We hope you will join us for this year’s Northeast Storage EXPO on May 13 and 14 at Foxwoods Resort Casino. After expanding our exhibit hall last year to provide even more opportunities to connect with leading vendors, we are excited to now expand our educational offerings - without increasing your cost to attend. This year’s EXPO will feature six dynamic sessions led by some of the industry’s best, giving you actionable insights while helping you build meaningful connections to move your business forward. In addition to education and networking, the EXPO offers a unique opportunity to step away from day-to-day operations, reconnect with peers, and gain fresh perspective. Registration and hotel reservations are now open, and we encourage you to secure your spot early.
Please also save the date for our Fall Retreat, returning to The Publick House on September 24. The board is actively planning a New Hampshire event this fall as well, so be sure to check your email and the NeSSA website for updates. If you haven’t already, we recommend whitelisting NeSSA’s email addresses to ensure you receive important communications. You can expect messages from NeSSA@NeSSA.org and cjkahler@NeSSA.org.
Finally, I want to remind you that all NeSSA members, their staff, and their families are encouraged to apply for the 2026 Academic Scholarship. The application deadline is March 31. Requirements and the application can be found on our website, but you must be logged in to view them. This is one of the many ways NeSSA invests in our members and their families, and we hope you will take advantage of this opportunity.
If you need assistance navigating the website, Courtney has recorded helpful walkthrough webinars. One is available to everyone on our Webinars page, and both can be found in the Archived Webinars section within Member Resources. I highly recommend taking time to review these, as our website is home to many of the valuable benefits available to you as a member.
Thank you for your continued engagement, support, and commitment to our association. The strength of NeSSA has always been our relationships, and I am grateful to be part of such an incredible community. I look forward to seeing many of you this spring.
Warm regards,
Jessica Lamoureux
NeSSA President
