Dear NeSSA Members,
The Self Storage Association (SSA) recently notified NeSSA that it will be discontinuing their Affiliation Membership Program effective January 1, 2026. This program historically allowed NeSSA to pay, on members’ behalf, a per-member fee so that our non-SSA members could access select SSA benefits. In a letter to NeSSA, the SSA explained that the change is related to their intent to focus more on national, chartered, and SSA-managed state memberships.
Beginning next year, NeSSA members who are not SSA members will no longer receive:
Importantly, NeSSA will continue to collaborate with SSA on national and state-related legislative issues. We have a strong working relationship with SSA’s legal team. This partnership is critical as legislative action remains one of NeSSA's top priorities within the states we manage.
NeSSA remains fully committed to supporting our members. In the coming months, look for updates on our live events, information on our successful merger with NHSSA, and improved interactive virtual learning. We encourage you to use the MSM and ISS calendars to stay current on all industry events.
